The Miracle in the Woods Foundation has offered a huge shout-out and thank you to Joe Durham and his law firm for donating 10 brand-new fishing rods for competitors in an upcoming fishing rodeo scheduled for July 15.
Joe Durham is excited to help the non-profit organization’s mission of giving kids with special needs and disabilities the chance to enjoy hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities for free.

The Story of The Miracle in the Woods Foundation
The Miracle in the Woods Foundation is a non-profit that hosts adults and youth with special needs and disabilities for a weekend where they enjoy outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and therapeutic horseback riding. Everything is 100% free for guests, from travel to accommodations to food.
The organization was started by Jamie and Bethany Kiep. Jamie has been an avid hunter and outdoorsman throughout his life, and Bethany has loved and been involved with horses for 25+ years.
The Kieps have four children: Maddie, Mason, Mia, and Morgan. Their son Mason was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome and Autism. The couple wanted to make outdoor adventures accessible to individuals and families with disabilities and/or special needs.
Fishing for a Miracle
Fishing for a Miracle is the first annual fishing derby hosted by The Miracle in The Woods Foundation. It will be held on July 15, 2023, from 10 am to 1 pm at Kiep Farms in Leesburg, Georgia.
There are 25 fishing slots with prizes for the biggest fish, the most fish, the most fun award, and more. The event will also have bounce houses and a petting zoo for kids. Lunch will be catered by Chick-Fil-A.
