About the Worth County Drug Court
The Worth County Drug Court, located in Sylvester, Georgia Georgia’s is an Accountability Courts that provides interventions for individuals dealing with substance abuse and/or mental health issues.
These courts aim to reduce incarceration and recidivism rates, alleviate the financial burden on taxpayers, restore families, save lives, and enhance community safety.
The cost of these intervention programs is significantly lower than the expense of incarceration, offering participants an opportunity to rehabilitate themselves and contribute positively to the community.
Accountability Courts not only save county funds but, more importantly, they empower individuals to make positive life changes.
Mission
The mission of the Tifton Circuit Accountability Courts Worth County Drug Court Program is to bolster public safety through the integration of impactful substance abuse treatment and vigilant judicial oversight within a therapeutic court environment.
This initiative targets non-violent substance-abusing offenders, aiming to support participants in adopting and cultivating a structured, disciplined, law-abiding, and drug-free way of life.
